Ensure proper installation and operation of your Mercedes-Benz ISM module (Intelligent Servo Moduleift Computer) with this comprehensive guide:
Check Power Supply: Verify voltage is 13.5V or higher. If needed, use a charger. Avoid shifting gears during the learning process.
Code Reset: Perform programming code selection followed by ISM system and parameter code reset. Note: Some units require control unit adaptation.
Personalized Settings: Deactivate transport protection, execute personalized settings, and activate. Some systems refer to this as driver approval system learning.
Brake Activation: Keep the brake pedal pressed during steps 5 and 6. This prevents communication errors in the diagnostic system.
Adjustment: Adapt the control unit settings. Calibration may be necessary for some systems.
Gear Learning: Exit ISM system, access gearbox computer, and initiate Y3 gear learning as per prompts. Ensure the brake pedal remains pressed.
Code Clearing: Check gearbox computer for faults, clear codes as needed. Repeat for ISM system to clear faults effectively.
